Volunteer
The success of the Komen Global Race depends heavily on the support we receive from more than a thousand volunteers in the months leading up to the Race and on Race Day. There are many ways you can get involved.

If you’d like to join the ranks of our volunteer army, fill out our Volunteer Information Form here. We will then contact you to match you or your group with an appropriate opportunity.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Registration drives and outreach events (weekdays and weekends, March through May). Help spread the word about the Race and register new participants.

• Late Registration and Packet Pick-Up (May 31 - June 4). Distribute bibs and t-shirts and register new participants.

• Race Site Set-Up on the National Mall (June 3 and 4). Help unload and set-up Race material and equipment at the event site.

• Race Day Volunteers (Saturday, June 5):

• Check-In: Help participants and volunteers with check-in and pick-up of materials.

• Participant Services: Assist in one of the many Race areas dedicated to participant services, from information services to VIP tents and more.

• Start/Finish Areas: Assist the Race staff with a smooth Race start and finish including all related activities.

• Site Operations: Help Race staff in executing a safe, secure and seamless event by assisting Race staff on the National Mall with operational services such as medical support, food service, trash/recycling, etc.

• Route Operations: Support participants at various stations on the Race route in areas around the National Mall.

Please note: We will assign Race Day volunteer positions on a first come, first filled basis. Fill out the Volunteer Information Form today to help ensure you are scheduled for the position you want. We will assign you to a volunteer team based on the needs of the event first, and then we will make every effort to assign you to the team of your choice.
