On the day my 25 year-old sister Heather, learned that she had breast cancer, I made a promise to her that I would not stop fighting until there was a cure for breast cancer. Heather passed away 17 months later. That was almost 11 years ago. Since then, I have been passionately involved in the Komen Global Race for the Cure, as captain of a team named for my sister in order to give meaning to Heather's death.

Support the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure^® and the global movement to end breast cancer forever. There are many ways to show your support:

Make a donation. You can either search for a participant to support or make a general donation to the cause.
Register to participate! You can walk or run in the 5K or if you can’t attend on Race Day, you can still raise funds and Sleep In for the Cure^®. Learn how to join us.
Volunteer. Help us bring the Race to life. We need individuals and groups for various volunteer roles before the event and on Race Day. Learn more.
Cheer us on. We’re looking for loads of smiling faces to line the route on Race Day.
