Participating in the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure^® with a team multiplies the fun, the laughter and maybe even the tears that you share on Race Day. It also strengthens the impact that you have on the global movement to end breast cancer forever. You’ll have a wider pool of donors and can band together to pull off group fundraising activities. Together, with your friends, family and co-workers, you make an even greater impact than you could alone.

Start (or Join) a Team Now. The Team Captain must register first and create the team before team members can join the team. If you’ve already registered for the Komen Global Race and want to form or join a team, email teams@globalraceforthecure.org.

Our 2011 Team Captain Guide will be available in Spring, 2011! It will contain everything you need know about starting a team, adding team members, and fundraising as a team!

Attend a Team Captain Workshop: Are you a new team captain or looking for fresh new ways to grow your established team? Come learn some tips and tricks to maximize your impact and fun! These small-group workshops are lead by our veteran team captains. Workshops will begin in Spring, 2011.

Log in to your Participant Center and customize your team page.Send emails from your Participant Center to invite others to join your team See sample recruitment letters.
Send fundraising emails from your Participant Center to your potential donors. See sample fundraising letters.
Attend a Team Captain Workshop (coming Spring 2011).
Plan a team fundraising event and social gathering.
Create a team T-shirt or banner to wear or display on Race Day.
Recruit 10 team members and raise $10,000 to become a Power Team.
