Susan G. Komen has just one mission — to save lives. And because Washington, D.C. has a higher breast cancer death rate than the national average, we know it needs even more support. That's why in 2011 we announced a new $4.5 million investment — the largest single year investment in the history of the local event.

Opening Ceremony at the Washington Monument (15th Street NW & Constitution Avenue NW) begins at 7:40 AM. The race finishes at Independence Avenue SW and 4th Street SW. Post-Race festival activities along Maryland Avenue SW and 3rd Street SW.

Anyone can become a fundraiser. It's fun and easy and we are here to show you how. Meet some fellow participants who have great ideas to share with you. And find tools to guide you to fundraising.

Meet inspiring Survivors who share their stories of courage. Learn how the money you raise makes a difference in their lives and the lives of many others.
